Armani Ristorante Fifth Avenue is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Pastry Cook position to join the team. This position will be Full Time. We are searching for individuals with fine dining experience who are highly motivated, reliable and will thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Job Summary: The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking and garnishing various dessert dishes efficiently within the established Armani standards in every aspect.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Strong Knowledge & understanding of professional baking & pastry
  • Maintain food storage and handling procedures
  • Maintain food quality and nutritional standards
  • Follow production schedule
  • Lifting and moving equipment to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station & equipment
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at work station to ensure a smooth service period

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of pastry training and experience; (or) equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous Pastry Cook experience in a fine dining restaurant
